They always have, though. They lived and died by the full court press under John Thompson (Sr), but they were damn near the best at it back in the early 80s.

you're right and defensive teams are by far my favorite. Georgetown and Louisville will do some damage in the tourney

basketball FUCKING SUCKS

It is just like soccer, but worse... Once a year, EVERY year so many people go batshit crazy over this god forsaken sport. At least with soccer it's only every four years.

Tennis on TV, more than mind numbing.
Tennis in person, surprisingly not that bad.

Baseball on TV, almost mind numbing.
Baseball in person, Awesome!

Hockey on TV, Great!
Hockey in person, the best sporting event known to man!

Basketball on TV, unbearable (unless its march madness of course, yeah right)
Floor seats for the Pistons, worse than a dance recital!
(And if the Pacers are in town you might get a size 16 up your ass, yes that is Ron's shoe size)

And yes I know that is not college.

Olympic Badminton and Ping Pong on TV, pretty sweet!

The atmosphere was awful, the other sports you drink a beer or two and you can't not enjoy it.
