Not common around here, just the one place. It's been dry for over a year now, be like a new marsh when water comes back.

My brother is stationed up near Seattle. I've had him out once in IL (his first and only hunt), but he doesn't get to make it home all that often. I might have to be not so polite, and try to use you West Coast boys to get him on some ducks sometime...

I'm game let me know I go 3 or 4 days a week during season. Sometimes more but I'm always down for taking new guys out. Problem is I'm 14 hours south of Seattle.

 14 hours is nothing. I can do that on my own with a pee bottle! I'm sure he'd be up to make a little drive to hunt a few days.

Well just let us know. My deal is flooded rice fields I love hunting them. Gadwall knows all the local refuges and hunts natural wetland ponds. Anyone coming to visit should experience both to get the full effect!

I'm 3-3 1/2 hours from Seattle.
I used to run up there every year for seaducks but, I haven't went since my son moved to WY.

I'm going to start working on logistics. This is an offer too good to pass up. Get to see my brother, maybe a pintail, meet new guys...I'm excited.

How could my wife say no to visiting my brother? I think that is roughly 50/50 to happen

Army (Airborne - LRS) at Joint Base Lewis-McChord.

He's 9 years younger than I am, and didn't get to experience hunting growing up the way I did. Now that he's on his own, and "ready" we've been working on getting him into the game...

I was stationed there back in 82-83. I think Assa was there later for a couple years too. When I was there Ft Lewis and Mchord were separate bases. There's lots of duck hunting up there and you can hunt deer on post or, you could when I was there.

For the umpteen thousands of us who ETSed through Ft. Lewis, it was a wonderful place. Even if many of us only saw it for a few hours in the dark.
