What about a canoe? Both sides can be pointy...

Some, yes. Not all, and not traditionally.

Never mind. I don't care anymore.

Well what has been proven here is... Nautical terms are confusing but can be fixed with numbering systems.

I still haven't bought anything. Tanks of gas hardly count, but that's really all I spend money on.

You'll be able to report a purchase when you get the stuff for your homemade mayonnaise.

I don't think so. I have olive oil, which we bought a gallon of several months back. We more eggs than we can shake a stick at. I've got ground mustard in the spice rack, and the neighbor has lime and lemon trees in his greenhouse, with fruit for the asking. My mayo should be basically free.

I'm sure I've bought some stuff. I got $60 out of the ATM on Tuesday, and I only have $26 in my pocket.

I bought two racks of ribs, that's what it was. That was $19. The other $15 must have got pissed on away on this and that. I'll blame the wife.

Don't use just olive oil, it'll be pretty strong. Use some canola or veg oil too. Try throwing some chipotles in it, really good stuff.

I'll make some up using one of those chocolate habaneros in the freezer from last year. Then I'll tell my wife that that's how I like it, so that's how I'm gonna make it. Then she'll leave it alone, I can make it normal after that, and not have to worry about the kids eating up all my mayonnaise. They eat miracle whip if given the choice, so obviously don't deserve my gourmet, custom ground mayonnaise.

Yes, aft is backwards.

The dock lines go where ever the captain says they do. Port or starboard, bow or stern, breast, forward leading spring, aft leading spring, by cleat #1 #2 #3 #4 #5 etc. The rods or fishing lines are called whatever the captain says they are to be called. Port or starboard flat line, rigger line, drop line, trailing line etc. There's only one captain on each vessel and shit on board is called whetever the fuck the captain wants them to be called.

Was never in the Navy but I believe the commodore or admiral would still be under the command of the captain if the vessel was underway.

Yes.
“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.” ― Samuel Adams
