Cool deal, make sure you oil your gun when you get back to the truck. They call it the Salto sea for a reason. You might get a shot at some pintail or a snow while your there. Good luck on your ruddy conquest. To bad we cant shoot them when they have their bright plumage. They are sure pretty in the spring time.

Yep, I'd like to get one with their bright blue bill.
As for the salt issue, I've hunted salt water plenty of times. I shoot a Bennelli, no problem.

I've never hunted salt with my Benelli, but with the beating it has taken already, I'm not scared.
Whoever appeals to the law against his fellow man is either a fool or a coward. Whoever cannot take care of himself without that law is both. For a wounded man shall say to his assailant, "If I live, I will kill you. If I die, you are forgiven." Such is the rule of honor.

Jordan and his two buddys (Josiah and Tyler)went out of their way to set up a hunt for me. His buddies even sat in a lesser blind to insure my success.
I was able to kill my first 2 Redheads.

Well, my marathon drive back home starts in the morning. Gonna try to leave early to miss that damn LA traffic. Still have not decided if I will detour to the coast for a mountain weather bypass.
Any of you guys in NorCal know what's up on the passes right now?

I would guess its probably a better bet to take the coast. But I don't know for sure.

As of right now I-5 is still open, there is about a 4mile section near Dunsmuir that has a chain advisory. The storm up here is moving out though, so they say. Weather tomorrow is suppose to have less of a chance of rain and snow. Thursday is going to be partly cloudy. So I-5 sounds ok, as long as the weather guessers are right. How far are you trying to get to tomorrow?
