Jgun, the old man and myself used to do 3-4 day trips up there, read a good map of the river first, some spots it gets pretty tight, but can be some good fishing too. Jgun has a 17" brookie from one of the first trips. I would highly advise against the tarp tent, pack a zippered tent, the blackflies and mosquitos will carry you away!

Have you ever been to The Two Hearted River?

I want to go on a 3 day kayaking/fly fishing/camping trip, and it is the only one I can find that has 20+ miles without damns, basically no houses, and nearly no over passes.


I looked at The Au Sable River, but I don't think there is a streech long enough, correct me if I am wrong.

Is there another river that I am missing that would work?
