I learned long ago that every time I try to do some "little thing" involving one or two of the things out of them, I end up with ALL the shit out of them strewn everywhere. So I just put them on in the first place. Saves time and aggravation.
On the topic of knives, if I didn't constantly watch myself, I would more than likely have piles of them as well. Few things are as "nice" and useful as a well-made knife. Or even a poorly made practical knife. I carried one of the yellow delrin Case trappers for a long time, but switched about two years ago to a clip knife. Best thing ever. Got completely tired of my old knife falling out of my pocket, and the clip knife is about 17 million times easier to open.

I have more but there in Manteo. I'll post a picture of them when I get down there this weekend.

Wrong Gerber makes some damn fine blades and are my preferred American knife company but their multi-tools don't hold a candle to Leatherman in quality and the actual tools on there. I've owned many kinds of both and used a Gerber for a year at work before getting my first Leatherman a while back. The few extra seconds it takes to open the Leatherman are worth the trade up in quality. Also if you get used to it you can open the Leatherman one handed too.
Sent from my phone.

JK. It's for breaking the rib cage on small upland birds when you're cleaning them.
