Pa has the worst ranked roads in the country. We use so much salt and plow when an inch hits non stop, the roads don't stand a chance.

Bill Herion,

Kansas just finished a bridge across the MO river. It was a bit more involved than your silly example would mislead.

It was a cooporative effort between the two states, its 50/50, as Assateague would say.

Do you want to visit the Kansas State Bridge office web site John? Its quite a bit more involved than a tube in a ditch here, given we have more miles of coast line than MN.

I see the Reverse Barometer is on again today.

That is indeed a bridge.

Not wanting to start a pissing match, I have allready declared MI to be superior in every way, remember?

I wanted Bill Herion to know its not quite the cow pasture he thinks it is. There are engineering challenges all over the US.

They share information and knowledge (like boat pods)
They promote friendships
They are a way to "connect" with like minded people

I get tired of the pissing matches. I got banned because I was good at it, so I TRY to keep that bull shit under wraps, oh button pusher/reverse barometer

I second this. I've driven across the country at least 12 times, and have been through every state except Maine, Vermont, and New Hampshire. While it's possible one of those may take the title, I will second Don's motion for PA to win it. Arkansas comes in a close second, though.

And not only are the bad condition of the roads in PA a factor, but the fact that the merge lanes onto highways have STOP SIGNS at the end of them really adds to the award potential. Dumbest thing I ever saw.

That sound fuckin stupid. Kansas on average has better highways than other states I've driven in. If PA has roads worse than MO, I feel bad for ya.

I was getting ready to call BS until you gave honorable mention to Arkansas. I haven't been to PA(except airport layovers) but, I have been through Arkansas.
I just figure anytime Don says something is worse in PA , well, it's a Don thing. No one has the bad odds and bad hunting opportunities that Don has, to hear him tell it.

There is not one river or gorge in Kansas that couldn't be spanned with 19th century technology.

Never been to Arkansas so I don't about their roads, but PA's are terrible. I've been up there quite a few times and they are definitely the worst roads in general I've ever been on.

Am I the only one, that when opening this link, was hoping there would be a regular old bridge coming from the Missouri side passing over a tube with gravel over it laid down on the Kansas side?
