Why not, they take better pictures than Max 4 DB. Getting tired of Mall Ninjas and Duck Commander wannabe's.

Look at "Muddy Girl" getting leopard print will make you look like you are shooting a Mossberg.

Just finished prefabbing a new dog stand for the Mudhole, one more check off my personal preseason list. OK, three-quarters of a check, and I'm afraid to even look at the camp's list.

Fellow I pick for incubates the eggs and sells the hatchlings to farms. Not feasible to breed them in captivity, so we take eggs from the wild and later return a higher number of too-big-for-anything-but-dad-to-eat young ones than would survived to that size in the wild.

Guy claimed this one was over 13' if not closer to 14', can't remember now. Had a picture of it behind an airboat and it was a monster for sure. Port Lavaca, Tx.

He had the foot from it too that was more than enough to make you second guess stepping in the marsh.

How 'bout a trophy turd? (Next to my foot.)

Or trail?

Knowing it's just the tatailles' tails carving such ruts gives me cause to pause, even before gauging the tracks with familiar references:

But getting the big boys, themselves, on film is a whole lot tougher than with their girlfriends, who are happy to come meet you at their nests. The big males are seldom more than a surprisingly quick move from deep water, and are usually gone before you can get "Holy crap!" out, much less a camera. I knew where this one was hanging out and belly-crawled for this shot:

Then I felt a hint of breeze on the back of my neck, and he was gone.
