Fertilizers wrecked a lot of the waterways around here along with the zebra muscles.

I can't eat any of the wildlife out of my local river system. It's a heartbreak to see these signs up when I take my boys fishing:

When i do an oil change, I drain it straight back into the ground. Your welcome.

A couple gallons compared to millions is a little different. I do the same thing.

The barge was carrying nearly a million gallons....since when do they use gallons? When they want the number to be bigger.
31,740 barrels just isn't a big enough number to get in a big fuss over. SEE?
Now Nuffdaddy is calling it millions and the next guy will say billions by "accident".

ONE barge. It's not that big a deal but the news needed a story to cover up the idiot stuff Mrs.Obama is saying in China or something.

Probably cause nobody actually knows what a barrel of oil equates to.

That's a google image. Those signs are all along the river. My town is actually pretty nice. If I were to guess I would say that was taken somewhere in south Phoenix or where the river goes through the Indian Rez.

I've got a spot in the woods I take it and dump it.
I used to take it to autozone to their receptacle in the back but one day I tripped and dumped about 10 quarts on their floor and they started yelling at me that I needed to clean it up just being straight up assholes. And being the asshole that I am I told them to eat shit and I walked out. I woulda cleaned up my mess if they hadnt jumped all over me immediately. The manager followed me out and got my tag number but nothing ever came of it.

Or booze . Driving through the reservation southwest of Phoenix is a trip. Some of the worst living conditions I have ever seen but a brand new pickup or escalade or car in every drive way. I got a Indian buddy and he says that's what everyone down there spends the yearly check they get from the tribe on. A new vehicle every year.

I was going through once on my way down to Tucson and say in a 1/2mile long backup while two extremely intoxicated Indian guys tried their best to kick eachothers asses in the middle if the road.

The signs on our river give a scale of what fish are the least to most dangerous to eat. But we have a whole booklet that tells you how often you can eat certain fish. Kinda sad that you have to be scared to eat the fish.

We have a similar thing also. It lists the main bodies of water around hear and the amount of each kind of fish in them you can "safely" consume

Even in MN where these rivers start, we have eating restrictions. Can't imagine eating anything out of the rivers down south

I eat trout out of the north ga rivers, but I ain't eatin a damn thing out of any of our lakes and streams around here. We used to eat crappie out of a lake near here when I was a kid but I wouldn't any more. Plus the water around here in the summer feels like warm slime in most places. Its so green and most wild caught fosh taste like mud. Pretty sick if you ask me.

Would you eat them out of the grand...or anything downriver from DOW?
We eat lots of fish...just careful about the Sagnasty bay fish and don't eat any river fish. Up north is where we try and get most of our fish from. I'd drink the water from most of the rivers up there...Gods country.
