I'm not a boot snob. Don't have any idea what their reputation is, they feel good and seem to be really well made.

I'm treating myself to a new pair of boots this weekend. My current pair are worse for the wear.

This. I only wear tennis shoes for work (both jobs). And I wear my cowboy boots for working outside or just looking good. Other than that, its crocs or muck boots.

I was firmly against crocs until I got a pair. They were comfortable but quite dangerous in a boat full of mud and water after a night of drinking and frogging. Then I found boat crocs that had damn good traction and I stopped sliding across my boat.

My wife said I could never own a pair of crocs and if I did no sex for me. So naturally I bought a pair but it didn't take long to get to the point where it felt like the bottoms were greased up with astroglide an threw them away

Same here, but I haven't found them to be slick at all. Maybe after they get older or something.

One day soon you will be walking along and all of a sudden be looking up at your feet without warning. There is nothing you can do to prevent this but burn all your crocs. I've seen two heads split open in this scenario and taken off to get staples.

Maybe I'll take them out to the shop and sipe them this afternoon, just to be safe. Then I can run an obstacle course on wet plastic in those bitches.

Dip the soles in the liquid tool handle rubber. Bet that chit would give you superhuman traction power as well

I need going to town boots, not work boots. I've got an old pair of slip ons for around the yard and stables. I'll get another pair of plain-jane Ariats. Those things are comfortable, and my last pair made it about 6 years.
