I saw ND had a tornado earlier

No shit. I'm going to be pissed if my vehicles get hail damage! Narrowly dodged fist and golfball size hail a week ago when I picked up the truck. How shitty would it be to have to claim insurance on the first day of ownership? Went to the Toyota dealer the next day and literally every vehicle in their lot was damaged.

That would suck. The tornado overturned a couple of trailers in a oil camp

The area I live in has tropical summers and arctic winters. Just 100 miles north or south is a huge difference in climate here. For instance my parents, 100 miles south, planted their garden a full month ahead of me. Damn.
They got up here and bitched me out for not mowing yet...all I could say was we had snow five days ago. Gimmee a break.

The last time I was treated for heat exhaustion was when we did an attic AC install in August. OMG...that attic had to be 130 or better.
I was begging the boss and customer to let us do it at 3am and get done by 8am...
It would have saved them a very expensive ambulance ride and ER treatment.

Oh well. You only live once.

Hottest was at a F.O.B. 25 miles southwest of Baghdad. Temp gauge next to a flagpole showed 142 at around 2pm. I avoided walking by there after that, just didn't wanna know.

That's about how long I made it. My shirt and pants were soaked...dead air, no wind. They bitched when I took off my shirt. An hour later they called an ambulance cuz I was puking all over their yard.

Central Illinois this afternoon...

EL PASO - A tornado warning remains in effect until 2:45 p.m. on Wednesday as a sudden landspout tornado was reported by trained spotters.

The rotation was first noted at around 2 p.m. by the National Weather Service in Lincoln. There were no watches or warnings preceding that sighting near El Paso. The warning area covered Benson, Woodford, Minonk, Gridley, and Panola.

Spotters said the landspout was moving at around 5 mph to the east. There are no reports of damages by McLean or Woodford County officials.

Its looking like Rantoul, Gifford, and Pennfield...might get some of their usual stuff. Its like a mini tornado alley in there. I know because every year these storms made me money. Insurance calls are my favorite.

I just would like to know how you approach an insurance company with a $250k customized vehicle, say I'm gonna chase tornadoes, insure it (all)
and me.
Probably need boat, plane, train, and auto insurance with a tink of life insurance.

got back from Colorado late last night. it was 78 and sticky in the house.turned the AC on as i headed to the bathroom.
it gets ugly here in the summer time. temps from upper 80s to 100ish with dew points in the upper 70s to low 80s.
i will be spending most of this summer and future summers out in the hills

i was only back for the kids graduation. nothing too crazy going on. finalized the house blueprints. they have two barns about out up along with one of the machine shops.as soon as we get done chopping Triticale next week i am heading back to start grading and excavating for the new house and more out buildings.shit will be crazy then if the kid is out on vacation before heading off university in the fall
