We could send a deke down the Pacific and Central, then another down the Atlantic and Mississippi. Although then I won't see the Mandarin and we probably don't have enough people for that, sooo

I thought about doing 2 decoys a west and east coast one but I want it to be simple this year. We could maybe up it to 20 people but that would mean everyone would have to make it to the post office on time.

Maybe post all locations so it can be routed on mapquest for the fastest turnaround?

That's why I've limted it to 15 to give those people the chance to have it when they can hunt with it.

Well the seasons pretty much run in order, north to south.

Maybe on the East coast. Pac flyway is pretty much Sept through the end of Jan and then, in some places, geese into Mar.

That's why I said pretty much. My season is Oct 6-16 then Oct 26-Dec16

I dont care when I get it, but it wouldn't make much sense to have it go from north to south, back to north, west, east, up, down, left....you get me?

Next year hopefully we'll be big enough to do more than one decoy.

The sad thing for me is that after I hunt it Saturday morning, it'll go to the post office the same day. I'm usually out of the marsh by 10, and there's no Sunday hunting. Every time I type that, I get a little madder.

I think it will be interesting for everyone to post what they paid to ship it, then add it up and see how much the peking partier's travel fare was.

Edit: also ive seen some forums with a member map, where theres a pin on everyones location. maybe we could get something like that made up just for the people participating in this, and then figure out some logistics. just a suggestion.

Nope. First Sunday of deer rifle is open on private land, and there are two Sundays during bow season open on private land. No public land anywhere is open for Sunday hunting, at any time during the year. Frankly, I'm amazed we're allowed to fish on Sunday's. I really don't see the difference.

If you have any openings I am in, if not put me on the backup plan. Anytime the first three weeks on November will work for me, our season dates usaully run from the first week of November through the first week of Janurary. I hunt a half mile from the south zone in southeast MO.

I took the Scroter and cooter ice fishing in WY and they went to the Milion Dollar Cowboy Bar in Jackson WY too.
It doesn't have to be all hunting. The biggest problem I see is a guy will get embarrassed about his numbers and then he doesn't post anything, no pictures , no story..... nothing.
It's supposed to be about having fun all over the place. If you can't get out hunting then improvise.

Hellz yeah GK. Maybe we can time it right and have it the same time as MS rambler. That would be hilarious.

I'm all for it, though I'll let you take responsibility for both deeks. Running north 1.5 hours after running and gunning for snows for a week to try to find a deek I thought was on the side of a road was no fun, especially in the dark and then getting back up at 3 am the next morning.

Our early goose is Sept 1-22, and duck season will be (tentatively) Sept 22-60 days from then. I'm probably (as long as those dates don't change), hunting the first weekend in MN then heading to Saskatchewan for the next week. I could care less if I have it while I'm there. I wouldn't be able to pass it quickly if I had it then. We typically have a late goose season as well.

Sounds good. I posted up on DHC to try and get the MS rambler sometime in late Nov. to early Dec. Probably would be easier on my wallet for shipping if I didn't have both the deeks at the same time. That way, we can arrange more than one hunt with the guys.

I'm in Florida style. If I can get it before September 22 I'll take it on early Teal and Wood Duck which will free up the later season for someone else. Hope the Gators stay away.
