The resident geese seem to be having a good spring. I've seen quite a few pairs with good size bunches of goslings well on their way. With it being so dry, that usually helps the coyotes find the nests, so I don't know if I'm just seeing more or it is a good year. We definitely didn't have the other problem which can be the nests getting flooded out.

Had to stop to let a few cross on the way to work. There was another equally large group just off camera.

Those are growing good! The ones I saw the other day were pretty tiny.

The ones I have been seeing hatched some time ago. I have seen quite a few broods of that size and age. More than normal by a good bit.

I don't know if it's just because it's been so dry that they are where I am more likely to see them or if this fall there really are going to be more of those ones that all make us look so good.
