Why is that even remotely important? It's the entertainment value that counts.

Oh it's not important... Just thinking outside the box. Soldier on!

It would depend how strongly I feel "wronged". If I was told "We don't give a shit, you got the ticket and you're paying it, because we're always right" (or attitude to that effect), probably about $2,000. If it was more of a "listen, this happens. It sucks, but it happens. We're not perfect" attitude, maybe about $500. But in regard to time, I would pretty much spend whatever I needed in either case, to try and beat it.

When I get a ticket for doing something I know was wrong, I man up and just take it. That's life. I don't think I've EVER fought something I was caught for when I knew I was doing wrong. But when I WASN'T doing anything wrong, all bets are off.

Haha you have a "How wronged was I" flow chart huh?

I get it and I'd probably try and fight it too. But I do get that time is money for some folks. And they have to weigh the pros and cons.

I guess what I mean is I wouldn't begrudge someone for choosing not to fight that traffic ticket battle. And I would accusing him of being what's wrong with our country today

This is a trick question because everyone knows that unless you're a millionaire ethics or not you'd have to give up sometime. Theres a big difference in what beef is doing and what one2many suggested which would be just role over.

As much as I have that wouldn't effect me paying my bills since I'm single and if I had a family I don't know I can't answer that.

Have done this with the last 3 tickets. Called up a local lawyer in the town out in parts of KS that I got the ticket in. They get their cut, state gets their revenue and I move on.

I don't know how true it is, but I'll relate anyway.

I have heard it said that if you ever get a ticket out of state, or somewhere too far to go to court (or even if it's local, i guess), pay the ticket, but overpay by about $20 or so on your check. They'll cut you a "refund" check for the overage, and then just throw that away when you get it. If you don't cash that check, the ticket is never "closed" in the system, and any points won't apply.

Again, just what I've heard. No idea how true it is.

See I told you, trick question.

But to answer your troll question, yes I would because I made an obligation to my bank to pay for the boat. Like I said above there is a difference in losing a battle for what is right because you've run out of resources and not even taking a stand.

i understand that but are you going to fly halfway around the globe to fight a traffic ticket?
shit man we can still talk and drive here dont know whats wrong with the rest of you fuckers. and as i already said I HAVE WAY MORE THINGS TO DO THEN GO TO THE COURT HOUSE 100 TIMES JUST TO PAY THE TICKET HE IS GOING TO GET.
even if he brings in his phone records. the cop will say he was still on the phone, how many of you have more then one cell phone? i sure the fuck do. i have personal work and a burner. one ticket should not change his insurance cost unless he has a shitty driving record all ready or a shitty insurance compay.
he never cited it as a moving violation. in some states it isnt one.
