I told you, you'd fall in love.

Oregon or Montana

Neither, GPSMAP 62s. I have no desire to buy a touchscreen GPS, I need something that works in all conditions and don't trust the touchscreen.

My trusty Magellan 500 died when I dropped it on concrete before this last season. I've been wanting a new one but they are so damn expensive and maps/charts are cheap.

I hunted with a guy and we had crossed the river over near Canada and he wanted to know exactly where we were. I pulled out the chart tube I have in the boat and found our location with the aid of some day boards. Did it faster then he could with his phone.

Just go full speed everywhere. The shoals will tell you where they are.

Somehow I find my way in and out of very large Arkansas WMA's without a GPS.
I mean 30k+ acres of nothing but trees. (they all look alike)

Been once or twice where I was wishing I had one. Usually if you sit down, be really quiet, and listen for a while, you can hear a clue of which way to go. A boat going down a boat lane or something like that. Use your senses. Smell, sight, hearing, feel, etc. Sometimes it's easy. The sun comes up in the east. duhhhh. Cloudy days, not so easy. Up north where I used to hunt the wind is almost ALWAYS from the southwest. I've used the wind to find my directions before. Sun, stars, moon, and all that stuff. Pay attention and it'll guide you.

The one thing that messes me up is when a big wind knocks down several trees in your path that weren't there yesterday.
I've heard that it's incredibly stupid to fuck around with a crazy man's head.

I'd been looking for a while, and said last year that a piece of my tax return would going towards a pistol. Walked into a shop yesterday afternoon and this was sitting there for a price I couldn't turn down.

Very nice. All these handgun pictures are killing me! I really want something in .40 but I should probably get my hunting rifle "customized" a little first since that will actually benefit me.
