Haha he was talking about how I tried to buy beer for after the hunt on Saturday morning but was unaware of Michigan no alcohol sales between 12-6 law. The lady behind the counter talked to me like I was an alcoholic trying to buy beer so early.

Yeah, but he said 12. I've been some places where last call is 1, but never midnight.

It's only in the grocery stores the bars can still sell until 3.

I remember it being 2 here but it's been a while, and for the record, climbing over the counter at the shell station and turning back the clock and telling the cashier "see it...it...it's ok now....you can sell to us" does not go over well.

Wow I guess I'm spoiled down here. When you leave a bar they have plastic cups by the door so you can empty your pint or bottle and take it with you.

The town I work in is 12. It makes for a mad rush when I get out of work late.

Oregon its no sales after 2 am, but the CA border is only 20 minutes away. I remember (and by that I mean sort of remember) making a 4 am dash to the drive up window in Dorris, CA.

you want dumbass, here you can't buy beer until after 12 noon on sunday. every other day of the week, you're good to go.

i don't drink but i've always though that was one of the stupidest laws we have. guess they don't want anyone getting hammered before church

It used to be that way here, no alcohol before noon on Sunday, but they just changed it a little bit ago. now its 7am all week, you would think Olly being an alcoholic would have known that ;)

Hey, I'm new to duck hunting, actually to hunting in general. I used to go out with my dad as a kid hunting pheasants but I just carried a bb gun. Got 2 woodies in the early season bit that's it so far. If I ask any stupid newbie questions its cause I am one.

It's day 4 with no power or phones. 4 he lines to get fuel are the norm and we've been going to ny or pa to get it. I can get there and back faster than sitting on these lines. Got the genny running and the beer cold.

Without cold beer I might start to care that I still don't have electric or phone.

My former business partner's parents live up in Hoboken. They swear it is like Mad Max up there, but yet I don't see anything on the news. Hmmmm....

Yeah, it can be crazy up here. Allot of people are letting this get to them. It's not the end of the world bit people are sure acting that way.
I was told I could have power by Monday but phone and cable will be a little longer.
As for the union, there's always an asshat union worker that thinks your taking food away from his family. Well having no power is taking it from mine unroll I can get back to work. Me and my wife have not worked in a week.

Will do, probably won't be until spring though. We usually just shoot squirrels with .22's, some years are great and some years are just good. There are so many squirrels some times we will shoot 1500 to 2000 rounds each in a day.

Spring is the only time to shoot squirrels. Let me know when you are getting ready to start planning a trip and I'll give you a report on how many we are seeing.
