Any Sikas in the mainland marsh? Don't get much meat from them, but they are DELICIOUS. I don't understand why there are bag limits, when they're an "invasive species", but it's MD after all.

no it's just whitetails. on the beach side islands there's a shit load of them and hell of a lot nicer racks on them than on the mainland. on the beach side they have a lot better food. but most places you can't hunt because of houses and park service

I guess we're lucky being able to hunt park service land here- I don't know of many other (if any) national parks you can hunt in. There are plenty of whitetails there, as well, but Sika are (for me) the prize on the island.

There are bag limits on pheasants. Same difference. Farmers think they are a nuisance I'd imagine.

Sorry but I'm going to have to disagree with you on this one. I'd be willing to bet that the farmers find the presence of the pheasant hunters a bigger nuisance than the pheasants themselves.

Probably. I'm not saying they are going to decimate a crop, but the statement was seasons for invasive species

Ugh, so, they aren't going to completely ef a farmers crop, but they'll jump up to corn and beans to get them. I'm sure it's not enough for farmers to care.

Anyways, I haven't seen anything cool while out in the wild.

they will eat the seed in the spring right after planting and sometime they will eat the sprouts. we have stuff that can be used for this, dont harm them any, they just dont eat it anymore. as far as grown corn plants they dont eat anything unless its knock to the ground by turkeys deer or storm damage.

most unique things i see in the wild are cubical warriors hunting magical fowl

Not sure how unique it is, but I saw a rat the size of a house cat while in Tijuana years ago. Thank god it was dead, squished on the road, flattened out to about the size of a medium to large pizza. It was very impressive.

TJ is fun, but a real crap hole. Never keep all your money in one pocket and don't get too drunk and it is fine. People there were really nice. If you can get farther down into Mexico it is a lot nicer, just not sure how safe that is anymore.

I'm not sure what the statute of limitations is, so I'll just say that allegedly I may have had something to with TJ, bourbon, a LOT of weed, and an international border.

Slowpoke Rodriguez   that was Speedy's cousin, right? It's criminal that they don't put those on TV anymore.

On a sort of related note, Layniebug loves old Looney Toons, and got a new greatest hits DVD from Santa. We were watching last night, and the episode with Bugs Bunny and the gangsters was on. I've been telling the wife to "shut up shuttin' up" for about 20 hours now.

My wife bought the kids a couple "old" cartoons on dvd a year or two ago. I was watching with them one day and caught myself laughing at Tom and Jerry. The ones where they didn't talk, but you knew what was going on anyways.

The sound Tom makes when his hands are slammed in a window or something is the most hilarious sound effect ever, far as I'm concerned. I can hear that shit and laugh for 20 minutes afterward just thinking about it.
