Yea I gotta figure out if I'll be able to take the time off. It might be easier to pick a hunt club in the middle of the country so it's centrally located. We're definitely on this road to have a WFF hunt next season.

the layouts bring a level of action that trumps what you experienced on the barge, the barge would however be a great base of operations, brewgun aint that bright but the boy can make a mean breakfast and keep the coffee hot. even if Dan couldn't participate, that would be asking a lot of his buddies who aren't on the forum, we could wrangle up a few layouts and a bigger tender and get it done.

I've got a layout. Not sure if the Kara would be any good, but its stable as hell and works in the swamp.

Thanks for saying what I was thinking John.
We hunt the same 6-8 guys every weekend and I couldn't tell 1/2 of them "sorry, you're staying home this weekend while I take guys to the spots you've helped scout and spent time and money learning how to hunt".

I'd be in favor of doing a mid-west guided hunt or even free-lancing somewhere on the Mississippi and bringing a boat or two.

I guess I thought this would be more of a freelance rather than tearing up someones spot. I know I could offer a lot, but I'm pretty far from just about everyone. Michigan is just the middle I thought, other than the guys in Cali/Oregon/Texas, isn't Michigan within 12 hours?

I'd be down for whatever if I was invited, but I think midwest would work for the majority. I would rather not pay for a guide though. I spend a ton of money to get them on my own and would rather not pay someone else to do it. I think we all have what it takes anyways.

I'm on the hunt for a hunt club that will work with WFF! This is going to happen. Assa you'd better get some new shoes for one of those horses so you can make it.

We could all go to MD and watch Blacks with Assa, then have a huge Sunday hunt!

I'd kill two limits in MD.... on a sunday, then head home to Oregon never to return.

Yeah, but in all reality, I think that is why NY has such good hunting. Everyone thinks NY is NYC. The only real out of state hunters I see are from PA, and most have been coming up for early duck their whole lives. It's not like when I was in ND and saw more out of state hunters than residents. I have only hunted in a few states. NY, PA, VT, ND, MT, SD, TN and Canada as far as North America goes.
