the layouts bring a level of action that trumps what you experienced on the barge, the barge would however be a great base of operations, brewgun aint that bright but the boy can make a mean breakfast and keep the coffee hot. even if Dan couldn't participate, that would be asking a lot of his buddies who aren't on the forum, we could wrangle up a few layouts and a bigger tender and get it done.

We hunt the same 6-8 guys every weekend and I couldn't tell 1/2 of them "sorry, you're staying home this weekend while I take guys to the spots you've helped scout and spent time and money learning how to hunt".
I'd be in favor of doing a mid-west guided hunt or even free-lancing somewhere on the Mississippi and bringing a boat or two.
