You forgot this buddy

:tk:

Now then, as YOU KNOW, nothing about the government is fair or makes sense. Not to mention the law.

Being in the Army, you know all about how stupid things work. As a state employee, I could tell you stories along these lines.

The fact is, short of a revolt, the law is the law, and its a line you shouldnt cross unless you are prepared to pay the price.

YEP, the laws are stupid Jim, and not fair.....BUT it is what it is.

I do agree to a point. But the one thing the Army taught me, if nothing else, is that the best way to deal with a rule hound is to demand that ALL the rules be followed. I used to get so much crap for my hair, which was long due to "relaxed grooming standards" because of my job. I mean, I CONSTANTLY got harrassed by every SGM and podunk NCO I came across. So I learned the 670-1 inside and out. And generally, people don't want to follow ALL the rules, just the ones they like or know about.

As for the laws being stupid and just having to deal with them, I say no. Come on, TK- that attitude certainly wasn't present in 1776, and it shouldn't be present now. We are a nation founded on law breaking- if anything, we should have learned the importance of winning. The best way to get a law changed is to demand that people follow ALL of the laws.

I love my Folies calls. The guy got caught doing something more than most duck hunters do which is fill out group limits.
“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.” ― Samuel Adams

Unless you subscribe to my theory that laws are for everyone else and do not include me.

That, and falsifying records and shooting geese out of season in a city park for the sake of some bands.

I met Foiles Olly. He was nice to me, got a picture with him. He is one hell of a goose caller.
