she always seems offended to take my money. but she scares me so i drop it on the counter and get the hell out of there.
they had the swankiest joint on this half of the state back in the 80s coat and tie joint, and beautiful. prom dinner of a joint.
now they moved into just a take out place only,food is still top notch and she remebers i love gin and tonics.they havent served drinks in 10 or 15 years. i cant remember what i had for lunch yesterday

One thing that drives me nuts is empty water glasses, it's stupid but it's one of the easiest ways to make sure I tip you well

Bingo. I cannot stand it when the water glass sits empty. If the server offers to bring a pitcher of water, double bonus points. That's working smarter.

I always overtip breakfast waitresses as long as they smile. Any gal who comes to work at 5am and serves my crusty ass breakfast with a smile on her face is underpaid. Hot or not.

As far as other tipping, I know what you deserve. I've worked for tips for long enough, and watched other people work for tips, to know when someone knows their shit and is really busting ass for you.
