a dozen of those scoter were in a sauce piquant within 30 minutes of that pic as I remember, the details are still foggy, I do know I managed to not clean a bird this trip, herian and jr are pretty damn quick with a knife, woody's dad was no slouch either. I'm not sure if woody cleaned any birds or not? He spent most of the trip cleaning his truck and parking where he was sure sticks wouldn't fall out of the trees and potentially cause a scratch

yes, no bullshit, first real sauce piquant I've made with it, usually eat it pan fried right besides the venny, the guys that were there ate scoter poppers, they can testify

Our season hasn't opened yet but here's a two man limit of Rail Birds we shot couple of weeks ago on a good flood high tide.
