That reminds of an old captain story my grandad told me. He knew a captain that a deckhand pushed, the captain immediately turned around and shot the guy in head. Part of the reason most companies don't allow guns on board.

It used to be ISS for us as well. Don't know what it is now but if you were involved in a fight whether defending yourself or not you got at least a week of ISS.

We had a resource officer but he was cool. The kind that would catch you smoking cigarettes in the parking lot and cuss us for it and send us back to class.

We never had any cops at school, but nobody brought any guns to class either. A fight ended with a winner and a loser, and unless it was during class, or somebody was really hurt, it ended there. If it happened during P.E., there was usually a choice of putting on gloves, or getting over the discord between the two of you.

Yep, something along those lines for us too. There was always the flattened baseball bat paddle with holes drilled in it, that the principal would whip your ass as another option. There was no such thing as in school suspensions. I don't even get the idea of that at all.
