Had a buddy in high school that had an old CJ-5. He wedged a 454 in that thing, and would routinely melt off about $20 worth of rubber from all 4 tires everyday leaving the school parking lot. Ah, the good ole days.

It says a lot about you that you put a dollar figure on the amount of rubber that guy would burn.
“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Wish I had pics of the frame off resto-mod my uncle did on his 76 cj-5. I was like 13 so I helped as much as I could.
Dropped a built 350 crate motor in it. 6 inch lift with 35s. Gave it a 70s style renegade paint job. Replaced the metal body with fiberglass bc he keeps it down in st croix at his condo. Not a part went untouched. It's a pretty slick beach cruiser.

Woody doesn't own all the Z71s. Mine has been run pretty hard in the short time I've had it.

Getting parking tickets, and driving through town with a little snow on the ground does not constitute running it hard.

Dammit I can't catch a break around here. I DONT STAY HERE ALL THE DAMN TIME.

I'll never forget the night I had a little crown in my belly and and a jeep full of girls and got pulled over popping wheelies. Cop asked if I'd been drinking and he believed me when I said no.

Don't know about snow but I've never got mine stuck, and it has crawled out of some muddy ass ditches. My z71 tahoe was even better off road.

I'd consider "breaking the driveshaft and getting stuck for hours" a problem.

Only broke because it rusted out. Had nothing to do with the truck. Woulda happened to a ford, dodge, whatever you like.
And it was for about 30min. Pulled the trailer out of the way, dug out the tires and we were good to go once were were out of the hole.

My cousins newer z71 1/2 ton is rated to pull the same as my moms envoy. And my uncles new z71 needed a "beef up" package so he could put a camper on his truck.

I'm not sure how to explain this- the driveshaft broke. I've had a Ford, 2 Dodges, a Plymouth, a Volkswagen, a Honda, and a Jeep, and none of the driveshafts broke. The driveshaft breaking is a problem, much as you might like it not to be.

"My lawnmower blew up today, and sent pieces of piston rings out of the cylinders through the cylinder wall."

"My lawnmower never caused me any problems."

Do you see how those two statements really don't go together?
