Easy fix: Place the phone in a bowl of long grain brown rice (uncooked). Let it set overnight. The rice will attract Asians who will come in the middle of the night and fix the phone and eat the rice.

If you're going to poke the bear over there show some class. They have a shitty situation, no need to kick them while they're down...

We just got free advertising from a mod. There are a ton of guys over there looking for a place to land. Don't sour the WFF name with shitty remarks that make us look like a bunch of douche taints before they even get here...

But, what if the bigger part of us here are? Shouldn't we give full disclosure. Otherwise, they won't stay long anyway.
Really, those who are not douche taints are fuckin' racists or supremecist of some sort. Hell, everyone knows Reb is a japanese supremicist. He doesn't lie or try to hide it, he's proud of it. It's not his fault he was born that way. If it's good enough for the gays, why can't we say it out loud too?
Hell, Gaddy even showed off and tried to share his buttplug at one of the official WFF gatherings. If you don't believe me, there are plenty of pictures.
If they don't won't to be around us for who we are, fuck'em.

You're right I wouldn't be happy about it but I wouldn't have stopped it.

Several members here's have links to their Duck Hunting sites or forums in their signatures.

The only rules WFF has against posting links here is for commercial links to protect the few advertisers we have.

If people want to leave WFF for another forum then I'm obviously doing something wrong and that's on me not the members.

Proofs in the pudding my friend.

In Olly's defense I could see myself doing exactly what he did. In a way he reached out to some guys in trouble.
It wasn't taken that way though.

Just move on and let it go. It's not easy but it can be done.

Olly what you've done is point out that something bothers you and most people will tend to poke at that for a good while.
Will only mention this once because it could be taken wrong in so many ways.

"If a person mentions a weakness or pet peeve it only takes most people less than 24 hours before they are poking and picking at your weakness and pet peeves".

Example: I told the guys at the club that I can take any shit they dish out until they pick at my dog. Within 24 hours they were doing just that. I blew up and left.

Personally I call that bullying and try to refrain from it. I hope you don't take this as being a bully. Just saying "don't feed the bullies".

Oh and for the record I wasn't so much as trying to steal members as trying to pass you guys a life line. I have tried several times to help you guys stop the spam and it's obvious that the owners won't get that under control and don't give a shit about your members there or the site there.

Thought it would be a nice gesture to remind people over there, there is another forum that doesn't have any of those issues with a very active user base and where the owner actually cares about the site and the members.

Guess that was out-of line.

OH, and if I were you Olly...I'd be changing the banner at the top to have an asterisk.
Then at the bottom define the asterisk as "hunter owned".
Put the asterisk after the word "Hunter"

That would BURN the most and take the least effort. ;)

AB, this is a subtlety lost on a good number of people. There is a huge difference between laughing with someone and laughing at someone. Nothing gets under my skin quite like a a bully out to make them self feel better at the expense of someone they think is beneath them.

It may be allowed here, and that's fine, but its still not allowed there and you know it. Other than completely ignoring our spam problem, I have very little to gripe about vs. They let us run the forum as we see fit.

You've got a really good thing going here Olly, I don't know why you still have this need to prove anything to DHC. Who is your gripe with there still? Cgh is gone. Nick Roehl is gone, chris is gone...Why not focus on what sets you apart, instead of trying to continually parallel dhc? Your own mpt, and Hawaii forum among other things? Cmon. Although it reads this way, there isn't any condecention in what I'm saying, in fact quite the opposite.

AND he's kicking the shit out of some people with lots of money who don't know what they're doing.
The competition between these two websites IS ON!
One is struggling to survive and is HUGE. The other...not sure about "struggling" because Olly makes it look easy but should be positioning to pick up the "slack" or whatever you call it.

Imagine having all them sponsors...but that's part of the DHC dilemma. Somehow, I think Olly could handle them too.
Have met a couple sponsors and they're just guys like us. Really.

I'm wondering if, behind the scenes, those guys are also considering bailing out and coming over to the dark side. I would be thinking about it...
I really hope MY sponsor comes over here so I can say who it is.

What's not allowed there? I never posted a link or mentioned WFF by name. How insecure do you have to be to delete a post that says "my forum". I sincerely tried to help all.

As for not having any grips with how they let you run the place as you see fit. I would definitely have a problem with an owner that doesn't care about the forum. Every single post you make on thst forum pumps money into the pockets of a company that doesn't care about you or duck hunting. How long did it take to get a response from the owners on spam? Can you personally call the owner of Vertical Scope and talk to him? If your tapatalk didn't work can you get some technical support?

Here you can. I always go out of my way to help users with site problems & tapatalk problems. I routinely talk on the phone with members if they have a suggestion and I listen. I've implemented a lot of user based ideas here.

DHC is about sheer size and WFF is about the duck hunting community and the people here. Scoff at that if you want or think it's cheesy but it's how I see it and the reason I run this place.

I'm not sure I understand your argument. You focus on the fact that were not owned by a hunter, but when I say they let us as hunters run the place as we see fit that is also a bad thing.

I didn't write the rules on DHC, but it is my job to make sure they are implemented objectively. Until la hunter, dep6, swamp, and I change them, I will.continue to do so. Distance yourself from DHC and the membership will continue to come like it already has. No lifelines or olive branches needed.
