My first ever green heads.. I was so excited I acted like I just shot a booner deer.. I have taken some hens but could never connect on the green heads today it finally happened for me.. its been a tuff season and this just made my year.. I am so pumped I am getting both mounted.. I do like to eat them but hopefully there will be more to come that I put in the pot...

Joe, you're posts are a kick for me to read. I probably love duck hunting even more now than when I started, but you've got it bad my friend. I get your excitement every time I read one of your posts.

I was reading an article in a hunting mag, I think the author was actually talking about turkey hunting but it doesnt matter, he said something to the effect of "If there ever comes a hunt day where I'm not as excited to be there as opening day, its time to hang it up". Reminds me to always enjoy myself out there.

Thanks man I appreciate it and yes I got them in the beaver hole they werent there for weeks maybe because of hunting pressure around the area and maybe because it was getting some ice on it but they were there the other day so went in today and it worked out..

The best is when you can scotch double.

OK, so a scotch double would be tough. Guess I should say just a 'double'.

From my interpretation, you could scotch double on them if the "mouths" of the beaver hole were really close together and you went back and forth, shooting into both the "mouths." Like I said though, I've never done it but I bet it would be a ton of fun.

Silly Baxter, you know I don't speak Spanish
(that help you any)

And while I'm sure it's easier to white zin double, if you can get that scotch double you are either in for a treat, or a very rough night. Not sure which.
