Assa you do realize that by shooting a bowmag you have to buy both a non reusable bowmag tip and a .38 or .357 Mag for them to be semi effective. Therefore doubling the total investment in killing/maiming an animal. Not a good financial move.

It's not really for animals. An arrow and bowmag tip is cheaper than a hand grenade. Not to mention, much easier to get.

It doesn't really matter. The self-propelled aspect of the bowmag kicks in as soon as it clears 100 feet in altitude. So, I guess the answer is "whatever bow can shoot an arrow 100 feet in the air". But they are spin-armed, so you would do better with blazer or kwik spin vanes, at a pretty good helical.
