Hey while you're online. I got an okay for a layout boat and a dozen deeks for the hunt. I might try to modify my quad trailer and bring a pod too. Then two guys can layout for the birds in the middle and keep them moving toward the guys on shore. So whadayathink'bout that?

I think that that is called herding or rallying waterfowl and it is a violation of federal law and Red won't have any part of it......or will he?

Think again. You anchor the layouts with decoys set. It's just like any other set up where you hunt from the boats, stationary, not moving. Herding, rallying or rodeoing birds is chasing them to keep them moving. The point is that you keep the brant from sitting in the open water out in the middle. It's no different than birds flying back and forth from blinds.
