My most recent are Georgia Farm & Ranch. They make me feel like a farmer

please tell me theyre not the ones with no heel on them. the very sight of those boots just make me angry.

yup, totally flat. nothing to trip or catch on anything. a good buddies dad is a mason and will not work on scaffold without them. he said last time he wore a pair with heels, he fell face first on the scaffold, 30' in the air.

Never saw this thread. If you want to try the best roof shoes out there, try Vibram 5 fingers. I have a couple pairs and work in one. Can walk 10/12 easily.

I think Vans (the skateboarding shoes) are the best roofwalkers ever. I could toss plywood around in those things all day and never slip a bit.

Vans are what I normally wear, but they never last long if you do a lot of roofing. They are a little spacious on the interior so they slide around on my feet too. The 5fingers are skin tight and are basically like walking barefoot.

They do go quick on shingles, but putting up plywood/framing they last a while. I'd go through two pairs a year framing. Nothing like them for walking plates, either.

Yea, I hike in them. Kayak and whatnot. Don't much care for running in them.
