Anyone who e scouts then goes to the highline access will be disappointed. That place can swallow you up and the locals will play little tricks like hiding your wiper blades. (Or worse)

I get some every year. Few yrs ago it snowed on opening day. (night b4)
Been a couple years where I got snowed in. Once had to stay at a farmer's house for a week because I stayed because I was invited and got stranded. They would not even let me try to leave.

Another year I ended up at a motel in Jonesboro for 4 nights. They have blizzards...go figure. Typically it is ice storms and I;ve been thru a couple. Either that or tornadoes. Damn they get everything there and it changes QUICKLY.
You have to really pay attention to the nature signals.

It's northeast arkansas. Maybe that's why It gets some weather.

One year, just about 20 miles north in southeast Missouri. Lightning hit a power pole. Lit it up like a match. That started the field on fire cuz there was buck brush on the pole....nearly burned the clubhouse down.

Worst thing I've had happen so far is losing a tent in a 50+ wind gust. No big deal. Cheap at Walmart
