Size comparison. Mine is the green and tan lanyard with calls. Much shorter than the new one.

Unfortunately I didn't kill it. It was given to me when I was in the hospital. Ted Nugent(think that's how you spell it) shot it on his show and signed it

That skull is bad as man.

Nice lanyards. If you figure out how to make a floating one, let me know. I've got a lot of money sitting around my neck when I'm over bottomless muck.

Just fishing to see if that was you. Nice looking work. One more thing. Do you have to wear pants that stop above the ankles when wearing the lanyard? I'd figure they go together like a hoodie and an avery skull cap.

That's nice obx. I like it better than the other one you showed. BTW, I call the cobra over cobra, a king cobra braid. That's how I did mine and like the way it distributes the weight.

Pretty sure when referring to Uncle Ted, it's "The Nuge". Although I guess you could be talking about a surreptitious elbowing. But it is very awesome that he did that.

An to everyone else. I didn't get to meet the nuge  There was a guy who's friends daughter was on the same floor for chemo and he had(I say had cause I haven't heard from him in over two years and the last time I looked for the website it said it didn't exist) foundation that thy would take kids who's parents had died in the military, police, firemen,ect.... out hunting or fishing for free and the nuge was one of the guys that would take the kids out. He had the duck commanders, Bill Jordan, Ted, Dave Watson, guys like that on the list of people that would take the kids hunting. Ted gave the deer scull to the guy I knew(his name was Dean) a told Dean to give it to someone that would really like it. Dean gave it to me along with some signed stuff from Ralf and Vicky from archers choice, and a signed Fallen Sky's DVD(yeah yeah I know) and some other stuff. Dean came to visit one day and walked into my room and handed me his phone and told me to say hi and it was Bill Jordan on the phone! That was pretty cool. Got to talk to him for a while and then he hung up. Dean walked out of the room to "take a call from work" and came back in and handed me his phone again and Dave Watson was on the phone that time! That was really really cool because I'm a Mathews bows guy. Talked to Dave for a while and then hung up. That whole experience made my stay in the hospital not so bad.

Damn that's a long story but a good one. That's the first time in about a 1.5 years that I've told that story. Brings back some good memories.

Thanks. I didn't know what to call it so I just said cobra over cobra. I think I'm going to use that from now on when asked about it. Showed it to a friend tonight and he will now be getting one as a Christmas present.

I dont know if thats the official name, but I saw it while doing a search for a differnt type of knot for a lanyard. Same deal, I liked it, so it stuck with me. I'll have to take a pic of my lanyard to show.

Post up a pic of your lanyard if you don't mind 3 leg. Always looking at different stuff to see what other people like.

that looks good 3 leg. So do the bands, I don't care what people think, if I ever get a band it's going on my lanyard.

That looks good. Do you ever have problems with you calls being in the water with it being kinda long like that. And is that 550 paracord? It looks kinda shiny to be 550.

Dont get me wrong, they are all treasures to me but the one bottom left (slightly larger than the others) is from the ross I got 2 seasons ago, really proud of that one. Banded in Nunavut. The one top right is one of those "got ya" bands, a good prank worth remembering.

Thats actually why I started making lanyards, I couldnt find one on the market exactly like I wanted, so I made my own. I like to be able to pull any of the calls up to my face without it lifting any of the others up. I never have a problem with them getting wet because a) I am almost always in a boat blind or pit, and b) I tuck them all inside my waders except for the blue Basin Waterfowl duck call.
