Humble pie time...

So ran some errands this morning. Had to go to downtown Eureka. Trying to find parking downtown at lunchtime is impossible. Finally found alittle parking lot with one open stall. Very tight little parking lot. I shoulda know better with my eight foot bed. Finished my business. Behind my truck was a 6 foot sidewalk with a decorative 10 foot light pole. Looked over my right shoulder as I backed. Didn't see the pole. Looked forward again to make sure my front end didn't swing into the car parked to my right. I knew the sidewalk was behind me and it was clear. No pedestrians, nothing. My right rear bumper hit the pole. Shit! I quickly look back as the pole falls over and lands on the hood of an older Chevy s-10 parked on the other side of it. Shit again! Smashed its right front fender, hood and windshield. Should I run or should i stay and report it? Witnesses everywhere. Ok I'll report it. Sonuvabitch!
There ya go boyz. Have your fun!

Sorry to hear that Aaron. My wife side swiped a pole in a parking lot last month, dropped her cel phone bent over to get it and ended up turning into the pole. Took out almost the whole drivers side of her car. Insurance totaled it, had to get her a new "bumper" car. I feel your pain.

Damn that sucks, one time I backed my first car up with the door open and folded it forward off a basket ball post. Flint and I pushed it back good as new.

I am going to invent a pie and call it "Humble Pie". It will have raisins, apples, pears, and maybe walnuts. I will be rich.

No sheet, but his/her first facial expression you witnessed with their hands full of groceries on their to the S-10 once they first noticed the damage? Thats the precious moment in this story.

I did one thats worse. When I was 16 (brand new shiny license) I did that same thing with my dads Bronco, but instead of a basketball pole I backed the open door into my mom's Lincoln. You shoulda seen dad's face.

I wrecked 5 parked cars in one screw up once, weirdest part of the story is that I ended up dating a stripper out of the deal in an attempt to keep her from suing me for damages, it worked

Between this and the Bigfoot Extravaganza, we're gonna get tired of moving the bags of money off the recliner to clear a place to sit.
