Shooting at firefighters now?! WTF?

Someone in the replies said something along the lines of "Why don't we put politics aside here and just honor the firefighters who were shot". What do you think putting a story like this, from upstate New York, on national media is? It's f'ing politics.


I hope the firefighters recover, and I hope they catch the lunatics. My guess is gang stuff that wanted to make sure everything got burned, but who knows. I'm sure the media will have 30 different versions of the story before I'm off work in an hour.

I don't think it was gangs. It looks like a real nice neighborhood right on the lake. We are so screwed! I expect a knock on the door any day now looking to take my guns.

I am happier and happier each day that well over half of my guns were bought face to face, gifted, or found in old abandoned houses. Anybody comes to get mine will leave with one shotgun, one pistol, and one deer rifle. Leaving me with plenty.

But serisouly, why would someone do that (outside of just being a loony)?

Some lowlife that thinks they received poor treatment and blame it on fire/ EMT. Take out their dead relative on who they see fit

So it turns out this wacko did 17 years for beating his 92 year old grandmother to death with a hammer. But its the gun laws that are wrong not the fact he should have been executed and this never would have happened.

We NEED to outlaw hammers! They are what's to blame here.

Well this is a more common issue than you think. It's just not mediaized (just made that word up) like this one is. It is so bad in some places that Fire and EMS responders wear Kevlar vests for protection. We have a couple areas where I work where I wouldn't mind having one on.

This was twenty miles from my hometown and where I just got back from. Never should have been let out of jail. Unless it was to a pyscho security facility. Why release these pychos from jail? The fifty mile radius folks who lived within there were remarkably confused by this action. People were speechless and when they opened their mouth the words were not what they meant on a whole but just p.r. Nobody could understand this type of action.

People I talked to wanted to know about the guy. They wanted to know where his sister was. They wanted to wiki his confirmed mental disorder from revealed records. Spent a large portion of the weekend at a vegetarian aunt's house who wanted to know the same things about what was in his mind and the mental disease he was inflicted upon. Webster lost two tremendous civil servants. The media never left the subject but for weather and they were the ones who brought up guns equal prevention propaganda.
