Most unique animal seen in the wild.

Talking about the mink in Assa's thread got me wondering what is the most unique or rarest animal you've seen while out in the woods?

I saw a great snowy owl last year. I had never seen such a large bird. It was pretty cool, I watched it for almost 30 minutes before it flew off.

Not sure what would be the rarest. We did have a California Grey Whale surface about 20 yards off the back of the boat this summer, that was pretty cool.

Mountain lion while elk hunting in New Mexico. Biggest, scariest, fastest, most silent moving creature I've ever seen.

When I first moved here there was an almost solid white skunk that was quite large. Not unique by any means, but was still kind of cool.

A few years ago I saw a Fisher, ran up to the other side of a tree I was peeing on. Scared the piss out of me! It was really neat to see, hope I see another sometime.

I also saw a Bootlipkiller and Juicebox, late Friday night. Both were kind of scary, but after giving them some Crown and Coke, they returned to their natural environment.

My buddy is a fire fighter, he and his crew saw one years ago. Ran across the road in front of their engine. He swears it happened, I just don't know.

While swimming in the creek as a kid we had a manatee come up next to us...scared the shit out of us. This happened in queenstown, md... Not really a hotbed for manatees obviously. Eventually a crew from the National Aquarium from Baltimore came to rescue it. The same town where I grew up is also semi famous for having white squirrels.

This reminds me, there was a manatee spotted on mud island a few years ago.

It does smell like Bigfoots dick! A great way to attract a female squatch.

I saw a fisher every day for a week on the deer stand when I was in school in the Soo. He was pretty funny, he'd chase the deer off the baitpile to try to keep it for himself. He could only hold it down for about 30 minutes before the deer would gang up and run him off. It was pretty awesome to watch.
