This morning's hunt vetoed

Postby QH's Paw » Fri Jan 04, 2013 7:12 pm

This morning, by the time I finished replacing the broken winch on my trailer, Momma vetoed my hunt and sent me to the Dr. for some Prednisone. I think I already I mentioned it here but, I got poison oak on my New Year's day hunt.
When I woke up this morning, My left eye was swollen shut. Should have taken a pic of it then but, here are a few pics from when I was leaving to the Dr. office. By the time these pics were taken, I had already ate some Benadryl.

I have a layout hunt planned for tomorrow. With all the prednisone they gave me, I should be good to go.

Damn man I hope you heal up quick. Allergic reactions suck.

I'm pretty reactive to it. It had gotten bad enough I thought it might not be a good idea to hunt alone. If I were to go into anaphylactic shock when by myself on the river, there would be no one there to call for the carcass pick up.
The deciding factor, for me to go to the Dr., was my breathing and fluid in my lungs this morning.

Man that sucks QH, I got poison oak all over my left shin a few years ago while I was cutting some firewood on a camping trip in Cali. That stuff WOULD NOT go way for something like 2 weeks! The itch almost drove me crazy.
