Whats a average tip for a guide on a half day goose hunt?? Good or bad day not the guides fault but bad birds dont matter if he is a decent guide whats your thought ??

Fishing guides I know expect 15-20% of your cost for the day, same as any service worker. Figures it'd be the same for hunting.

I guess I am ignorant when it comes to these things. I've never really paid for a guide, but I really didn't think a tip was expected from them. I figured a tip would be something extra that you may get if your clients were happy. What does say about you if you expect a tip? Might as well include it in your price if you expect it.

If it was an awesome hunt, they'd get 20+%. If it wasn't their fault but they tried damn hard, 15-20. If they didn't try or made things bad, none.

If its the owner of the operation usually zero, unless they work exceptionally hard.

If its the guides employee, then 15-25% depending on the effort put forth.
