My luck is just not turning around. Yesterday I had the accident with the truck and the cop then I came home after being on the road all day to frozen pipes I spent all night repairing those. I wake up this morning to go and mail off the emperor and my truck is over heating! I'm guessing my thermostat is frozen because I'm not getting any heat in the cab... no big deal I'll just go start a fire in the garage. Needed to cut some of my bigger store logs down to fit in the wood stove and the damn chainsaw won't stay running! FML

Some weeks like that you just got to hunker down and take what the world throws at you. Never fun, but seems to just happen from time to time.

It's been a long time since I've had a bunch of little things like this go bad all in a row. I just keep telling myself it'll make me a stronger man, I did get one small victory I got a fire going in the garage and it's almost to 50* in there. I think the truck will thaw out in about 45 min or so. No truck likes -14 especially my piece of shit truck.

Ever tried starting a diesel at -10 after you forgot to plug it in?

What does your coolant test at?

It wasn't my coolant the thermostat froze shut. Once I got it out of the - 14 cold it opened and the coolant was able to flow properly.

I had a run of mechanical luck like that in 2012. Every time I would fix something, 2 other things would break down. Hell neither my ATV not my tractor are running right now. What is my solution? More hunting!!!

My antifreeze is fine and the truck is okay, I drove it around all afternoon. It was the thermostat, when I first got the truck I flushed the whole system and added proper antifreeze for this weather!

It was 71 degrees and sunny in South Texas today. I'd probably rather be in Michigan in August though.
