Your boat with the 15hp? Tell me the ways of the wise to get my 9.9 to push my boat back on plane again please!

How much you weigh goldfish? That might be what is slowing you up.
If you're less than 200 maybe I can help. 24 is as fast as it can go theoretically with the prop I have so I doubt I get any more out of it. 11 pitch prop. 12 would be getting where it takes a long way to get to top speed.

You want that cavitation plate on the engine to be roughly even with the bottom of the boat. I can convert your engine to 15 too. I'd sell you the part. One part. Bolt it on and it's a 15. (the carb)

I weigh a staggering 135lbs. When I first got the setup, I could get on plane with me and my 280lb buddy up front. Now I'm barely getting just me in an empty boat up.

How much you want for that carb?

$89.95 + shipping and handling? (negotiable) I'll take it apart, clean it, and put it back together too.
Will put it on my motor and make sure it's good to go.
Don't get in a big hurry but it is "bolting on 5 horsepower".

I suspect you need to tune up your engine too. I'd bet the points need some love or something if you're losing power the way you described. I have points and a lot of parts you need so keep in touch.

I adjusted the points last summer, and have went thru my carb a few times over the years. I tested the compression and it seemed good, but I guess you're supposed to check it when the engine is hot?

I could use a good new prop too. This one of getting kinda old and wore down.

I might take you up on that carb. Should work.

Although I don't think I cleaned the points now that I think about it. Hmmm

How many you need? Lol

My aunt has an outboard junkyard if I need stuff, but she has to make a living so her prices aren't always the best I might be able to find.

You want to argue about the price of a boat engine part? I found a cheap one for you on Ebay but it's for a 1956 engine.
If it was easy to find the part you seek you'd already have it.
How about I sell you an entire 15-horse engine with electric start for $795? (never seen salt water)

Na. I'd maybe buy just the carb, but don't need nor want another motor.

Bought 50 bee boxes for $6 a piece. Then bought the frames and foundations. 500 times ~ $1.75/each
This honeybee stuff ain't cheap.

All the bees wax I get gets melted and painted onto the plastic foundations. Give them the wax back and they make combs hasty quick. Right now honey combs are what I really need and they're precious once you got them drawn out by the bees. I recycle every bit of wax I get.

The capped part is honey. Those combs were cut out of someone's house. I charge money for doing bee removals and get to keep the bees, honey, and the combs. It's sort of a mess. Rubber band the combs into the frames and as you can see, the bees fix it. Lower left corner of the top frame is drone cells. (male bees)
