I've already got a motor. I'm building a mud motor as well.

I'm pretty hard on phones and so far I can't break the s5 I got now. It's went swimming twice in dick-deep water.

Glad to hear it because I just got an s5 a few weeks ago. I hope it lasts longer than my Motorola which crapped out after a little over a year.

My 5s is holding up pretty well, my phones usually don't last long cause of the heat I work in, plus hunting puts a beating on phones. But this one still works as it should.

Just bought a 1989 Johnson 90 hp V4 on the motor stand. $100 :qh:
Going to try to fire it up this week and get it ready to mount on a boat I have outback. I? see money coming into my life!

What do you mean by sucking air? Trailer weight is under 60% of trucks towing weight. No issues whatsoever towing it.

Bought 2 go pro style cameras, a waterproof handheld camcorder, a tube style action camera, and 5 32gb memory cards to go in them plus my current go pro style camera. All for under $200. Just have to wait a month for them to get here from Hong Kong, and pray that they work lol

Yours may not be as big as I thought. You know the big ones that are gooseneck/5th wheel whatever. Those on a Toyota where the fenders are damn near touching the wheels. Same for when those are on F150s. It just doesn't seem like a very wise decision to me.

I've always been told don't tow more than 75% of towing capacity as a rule of thumb. I figure it's probably wise advice. I had to go pick up a buddy once who blew his transmission because he was pulling a 2500 pound pound camper behind his minivan that had a 3k tow weight. With it loaded up I am sure that camper was close to 3k if not more

Finally found an ultra deep V, 16' aluminum boat that is going to be perfect for layout hunting on Lake Erie. The boat has a 68" beam and is 31" deep amid ships. It's a Duranautic which is the same boat as a Grumman. Can't wait until fall to use my new layout and this boat. Blue bills beware........

Got a pic? Sounds like it's going to be a killer. You going to build some kind of mounts to carry the layout or do you have one that can be towed?

Not a purchase, but a rental. However, it's pretty cool.

Been trying to figure a way to get my wife to a warmer climate, we will be giving this a try next winter. I think it will do the trick.

It will throw a kink in my hunting, but somethings are actually more important. Not many.

Might not be much for hunting, but I bet the...er, bird watching will be better than in the frozen north.

The handheld camera is not waterproof, despite their advertising. I clarified that once it was in hand since there was zero mention of waterproof on the packaging, not by testing it under water at least.

Thanks. Gator Trax is junk compared to this guy's builds the attention to detail and any boat is built to the customer specs. No hull comes out the same. IT'S YOUR BOAT.

Interesting. I know next to nothing about such boats, but the Gator Trax boats I've seen have hardly seemed "junk". Appeared over built, if anything.

The ones I've seen up close were well built, hell I visited their shop. But the price tag blew me away. Was entertaining the idea of a mud boat type hull with an outboard to do the running I need, but it would be something like 6K more than a comparable rig to what I have now (motors being the same).

Regardless, nice new rig there, got time to get her broken in before Sept!
