So I won't say Why or...

...What happened, but I will say I'm in need of a small, lightweight handgun that I can carry in the pocket of my shorts or sweatpants. I've been meaning to get one, just keep putting it off. But after yesterday I think it's time. I know I've heard y'all talk bout this before, but I never really paid attention. I have a glock I carry everywhere, but as y'all know its too heavy for shorts or sweats, which I live in on days off. Honestly I don't even know what's out there anymore these days. Recommendations?

Although I've played with and shot and handled the S&W 340 PD scandium titanium.357 Magnum air lite. That thing is the tits. Just not sure I wanna drop that much dough on one. Was hoping to stay in the 5 hundo range tops

My friend in Deeeetroit has an LCP in 380 that he really likes. It's fuckin' small.

Hey Red- Waterfowlman recommended two 38s, one in each front pocket.

if its the size of the glock 27 then I'll pass. I need smaller and lighter. I'm
Sure this thing'll hold 10+1. Which is all weight especially in a 40

Check out the sig 238 and 938, I know the 238 is in your price range but the 938 might be just over. My BIL has the 238 and I love that little gun. I just sold my LCP, it would serve it's purpose but I didn't care for it much and wanted something bigger than .380. The sig doesn't pocket carry as good as the LCP but it sure does handle nice.

Yep. I like ruger, decent quality and relatively small price tag.
Really small!

I don't know how much smaller the 9mm is, but if its near the same size as the .40 you are correct. It would be too large for pockets/sweat pants. I just got the 40 subcompact and I couldn't put it in pockets.

Sounds to me like you need an out of town buddy with a rifle more than a small pistol

Anybody have an opinion on Kahr's? You could get one for less than $500 and not be stuck with .380

If you need a gun that will fit in your shorts or sweats, caliber isn't going to matter things are going to be tight.

Good luck finding one, and I'm not a fan of the laser on them. Look into the Ruger LC9 (and soon to come LC380), should be about ideal for what you are looking for, and you can get them with either a LaserMax or Crimson Trace laser on them , which are much better than the shitty Insight laser on the Bodyguard. I used to like Kahr, but I've been hearing bad things of them recently. Buddy of mine works at Cabelas and tells me they are starting to see nearly as many Kahrs coming back defective as they do Taurus's, and that's bad. The LCP would also be a contender, but it is TINY, doesn't fit a lot of guys' hands very well. Another one that's fresh on the market to check out would be the SCCY CPX-2.

This is my vote. Both my parents have them. Dad carries his in a pocket holster.

A sub compact Glock is too big? Be honest you need a pistol for those nude beaches up there.

I've seen pics if red, unless his wife is 3' tall I see no reason he couldn't conceal a Dirty Harry revolver, must be pushing 7' tall

too heavy. And when I go to the beaches, I sport a belt, holster, glock and flip flops. Nothing else

I would recommend the Ruger LC9. They are small, light weight, and could fit in a pocket. I have never had an issue with the one I've got. They are under your price range as well.
