Most people say that about mergansers...just about everyone that has said that has never tried one. I can't tell the difference between a merganser and a GE, BB, Buffie, or any other similar duck.
I've tried merganser. That is the only food that I could not stomach. I forced myself on the 3rd bite, and it was all I could handle. Felt sick at that point.
Granted, I didn't do a thing to prepare them, just fried them up in some worchester sauce, but still.
And Assa, I'm no duck snob. I'll pop a buffie if it comes near, it just means I have to work a little harder cooking them. I laughed at the "don't eat the apples" tho.
