While I agree (to an extent), that this isn't TRULY cyber scouting, it is damn close. That being said, welcome. I would still strongly recommend trying to do it yourself, for several reasons. North Dakota is one of the last (if not the last) states that allows you to openly hunt any private land that isn't posted, and it is a great system for all parties involved, as out of state hunters keep the small towns in North Dakota alive (at least, up until the oil boom they did). Guides are either doing one of two things, guiding on public land (which is BS if you ask me) or buying leases on land that would otherwise likely be open to public hunting. We don't have many guys on here from North Dakota, but I can assure you that almost all hunters in North Dakota would agree with me in saying that if you are going to hunt there, they would much sooner see you not hire a guide, as it is slowly but surely taking away good hunting land. Until you get there, you will not truly understand just how many birds there are and how many places there are to hunt. Keep this in mind, I haven't gone on a guided trip recently, but the last time I checked, prices are usually about $100-150 per gun, per day. That's A LOT of gas that you can afford to spend a little time scouting. Also keep in mind that with the exception of Wednesdays and Saturdays, you can't hunt geese in the afternoon (
