Might end up being me and TK in here, but oh well.

Got a new cup today. Donut Shop extra bold. Pretty tits IMO. It's not flavored, but is probably my favorite so far. Got a good deal on them too. Where have you been getting all of yours TK? Some of those sound pretty tasty.

Eric I bought the Mr Coffee version of the Koerig? coffee maker. Makes one at a time.

The Doughnut Shop coffee is great. Smells like...a doughnut shop. I also like the spiced egg nog and the gingerbread coffee.

Life is too short to drink crappy coffee.

I don't remember what the exact name is but it was some kind of Hawaiian coffee. It was the best that I've ever had. I had some kind in Thailand and something from somewhere in South America, they were both really good too.

They all usually make the same coffee for each brand. I don't know if there are any exclusive coffees for each maker, but there could be. What brands are those that you are getting?

I like the Starbucks Verona dark, but only if I can get them dirt cheap. It's like 9.99 for 10 cups. Fuck you Starbucks.

Best Starbucks I ever had is the Ethiopia Sidamo. That shit is the best. I do like Starbucks, though.

Me too, but their prices aren't justified. It's not that good to have to spend a dollar on a cup that you have to make yourself.
The whole single cup deal really only got popular a year or so ago. Cups back when it came out were around 25 cents a piece, which is still expensive. Here it is a couple years later and everyone owns one...they are nearly 60 cents a piece. Did coffee really become that much more expensive? Don't think so since regular coffee stayed the same, if not, got cheaper.

Starbucks is my least favorite. Leaves terrible after taste. I have it a couple times a week, but only cause I already visited the other coffee shops too many times!

I've found that with some of their coffees. The better ones usually don't have that weird aftertaste like what you are talking about. We don't have a Starbucks within 60 miles of us, so the only stuff I drink is their coffee offered at the grocery store.

gotcha. My wife buys that on occasion when it's on sale. I don't mind it at all. But I usually gotta pop 3 Tums after a cup of their coffee shop stuff

Is that Hawaiian? I think that is the one I was talking about earlier in the thread. I want to say it was something Kona.

Kona beans are generally associated with Hawaii.

Blue Mountain is a brand.

Pulp fiction reference.

As for coffee, it's impossible (yes, impossible, TK) for "gourmet, good" coffee to be flavored. That must stand on its own. Like saying "this is gourmet, top shelf bourbon" when it's in a bourbon and coke. Or mixed with ginger ale. Or watered down. Good bourbon stands on its own, as does good coffee.

Don't get me wrong, TK, I like the flavored stuff on occasion, it is good. But I just don't consider it good coffee. More like a good coffee drink or something like that.

Thats ok AT. I can afford to drink single barrel scotch and yet choose to drink blended because I like it better.

It wont surprise you to know I don't care what anyone calls it. I drink what I like.
