I've been online since 1996 and today is the first time I heard the phrase "internet etiquette". That's kind of funny in itself but the actual phrase was 'unspoken internet etiquette'. Guess where I heard it???
If something is unspoken, how in the ____ are people suppose to know about it?
It's contrary to unspoken internet etiquette to post a video in your sig-line. rofl
ANYTHING else I should know? I'm a bit of an inter-tard. (zero effs given)

You've been online since 1986? HTTP wasn't even invited until 1990... unless you were using BB boards but that's not very inter-tardesk.

I remember the nerds in my sophomore year telling me about bulliten boards, 1987, they said one day all the bulliten boards could be connected and I would be able to send a message to anybody that has a phone line and a computer and I thought yeah right, how fucking stupid, why wouldn't I just call them...

My first pc had a 50 megabyte hard drive and ran on windows 3. That lasted about one semester and I got something faster. Playing quake on 14.4 modems. Then 28.8 and 56k etc.

I worked for about 15 years and went back to school. A lot changed. Had to take a crash-course on internet because I had to turn in my homework on-line. When I got to U of I...it got worse. Had to download the data from the machine I did labs on...then do all the work and turn in the report online. It sucked but got me to be an internet junkie. Dangit.
The first time I used a pc was in a college class. I was clueless. Stuck the floppy disk into the drive backwards and forced it in. The teacher was cool about it and dug it out with her nails...It was an autocad/drafting class.

Scholars maintain The term Internet etiquette was created by dickless 40 year old virgins who needed a term to keep normal humans from turning their virtual world upside down.

Looked up "internet etiquette" in the urban dictionary and what came out is pretty funny. TOOO funny.
HAHAHAHHAAHHAHAHHAHAHAHA
1. Thread Hijacking When a person starts a posting on a message board, or forum, or Facebook, that others are able to comment on, that original posting and the comments on it are called a thread. A thread hijacking occurs when one or more individuals commenting on the original posting, go off topic, creating a separate conversation. This is rude, and bad internet etiquette. If people want to discuss a different topic, they should start their own thread.

Walk outside naked, screaming "WHO WANTED TO SEE AN IVORY PECKER?". They'll leave.
