NFC tags

They came with my phone and I'm clueless about what to do with them. Would like to find someone else who has these things and what they use them for. Apparently I can customize what the tags do...
I'd probably stick one in the truck and not sure about the "office" one.
Maybe I should stick it in my boat and customize the tag to make my phone become a gps with fishing/hunting apps.
I have no clue and am asking for lessons.
This stuff is a bit over my head.

They allow you to automate actions on your phone based on the proximity to the tag. Like you can set it up so that when you get in your car in the morning it turns off the WIFI on your phone to automatically save battery. Then when you walk back into the house (and come near the 2nd tag) it will turn back on.

I'd set one so that every time I walked past my desk my phone sends a text to woody that says "hey buddy, just wanted to remind you that you suck!"
