Well I got it all out of my system and decided to fix the problem.

I got the kit mail ox on sale at k mart. I assembled and mounted the stand.

It came with a nice box.

But I didn't like black. I wanted people to be able to see it.

Honestly, when I was in high school a

You make your own?

My dad and I started doing that a few years ago, we thought we would make enough just for us and other family members, but we found an interesting use for it. Now we use a good chunk of it to bribe our way on to good hunting land. All the old farmers seem to have a sweet tooth and love pancakes.

We had a problem with jackass kids busting our mailbox when I was young, so my dad bought an innocent looking box... Took it apart welded up some reinforcement bars on the inside and then lined it with cement.

With in a week there was an aluminum bat bent nearly to a 90 laying next to it and the box still stood.

I can only imagine how much that kids arms hurt.

i can tell you, allegedly, that old farmer sends place on bates road has a mailbox made of oil pipe filled with concrete that must go 10' into the ground and will put a v in the grille of your car and send you into a spin before it yields if you should try to run it over while booze and cruising in the winter

Yeah that bronco caught my eye too. I'd love to restore one of those one day.

Word in the hood is that the owner of the box is a crazy sob that will go the extra me to keep the score even. Besides the youngest person on our road is 45. The school bus don't even come here.
