The show Devil's Ride is very nearly the evidence that proves this without a doubt. A show about motor cycle gangs in conflict. Who wants to sit through a string of commercials just because they are so locked into the drama of the biggest pussies on earth nut-checking each other. I'm dumping cable soon. If all I had was HBO, ESPN and netflix I wouldn't have to flip through shows like this where bikers smoke Borkum Riff out of high end pipes.

My point is: this isnt the bandidos vs Hells Angels. This is joe, tom, dick and hairy fighting over nothing. Who get's the legion reserved for the July 4th is what theyre fighting over. This is the result from what was awesome; Deadliest catch to being completely contrived horseshit. Seed it all!

Agreed except they're aren't fighting. It's all scripted fake shit like the amish mafia. Deadliest Catch is about the only good one.

Even Deadliest Crabs went down the crabhole after awhile.

Not without talking about how dangerous chainsaws are for two hours, then the rest of the day, they would have trees falling out of nowhere, nearly killing everyone. Finally, the greenhorn would quit and have to be helicoptered home because he misses his mommy.

I never saw the draw of that show. It's guys crab fishing.... a deep narrator's voice and ominous music doesn't change the fact that it's still just crab fishing.
The Discovery channel is such a waste these days. I wish the Science channel wasn't an add on package.

Speaking of those type shows my buddy called me the other day as he was giving that fat spoiled Rygard kid the finger from Ax men. I hate that clown.

I am thinking about hooking my rabbit ears up and pulling the plug on Dish Network. All TV is crap anymore. I occasionally will catch a re run of Hee Haw or The Gong Show. Thats about it.

Netflix. $10 a month, but you need decent Internet, so you may be out.

I have never paid for cable...and don't feel a need to start paying for it either.

Cable and satalite TV as we know it now is a dinosaur and won't be around much longer. Running a 2013 company on 1980's business model is failing.

And my internet is iffy.

I would also like comedy central. I really like the show Intervention too, but thats probably on netflix. Flipping through shows that are about old rags throwing huge fits about cleaning out their shithole shacks topped full of junk or the adventures of people buying and reselling garbage is over! Hey AT why did you say 10$ as a quote for netflix? I thought it was 7 or 8 bones?

Pretty sure mine is $9.99, streaming only. But that might be my Rhapsody subscription. I don't know how much either of them are, exactly.

I'm with y'all on this. We have cable tv with mucho channels and I always end up watching the old-school local channel that runs re-runs of I Love Lucy, Gunsmoke, Bonanza, Wild Wild West, The Big Valley, Twilight Zone, Batman, Star Trek and a whole lot of old shows I like.

Old Hawaii 5-O. My kinda TV.

I could just put up an el-cheepo rabbit-ears up in the attic and get the same channel. I do that to get high-def for games on CBS Sports. Learned I get a lot of channels with just a cheap antenna. Probably could get a ton of channels if I got a real one.
