just giving a shout out to Assa for helping me with my resume. He took my pretty vanilla job description and made it sound so much more effective and important. Hopefully I can land this job! Once again, thanks Jim!

Good luck haus. Good on ya assa. Answer my question though: What weeds are they spraying and what are the look-a-likes you need to be aware of not to spray?

Good luck man!

The biggest thing is you have an "in".

It's a "who you know" world out there. Being liked often trumps being able. Not saying you don't deserve the job, but there could well be someone with more relevant experience applying. Having that connection is key.

When there is no money to be made or saved, this does happen often at this level. But, if he wants to make a career out of this he will need to start paying attention.

Getting some kronyism jump start will lead to lawn mowing the WMA. The competitive spirit I couldnt find in college was the most important thing I found in my first tech job while in school.

Not always. It's a foot in the door that is otherwise hard to get into, espeically when relocating for work. You are right in that from there, you earn your way.

I will ask him publicly instead of in a PM like I did 2 years ago on DHC as Buffler. Do you know your desired job? That's the best way to help. I would encourage him to get into Regulatory CWA 404 because it is necessary, private/public both pay high, and involves a very challenging ecological problem solving approach which prolongs peak interest. The idea freshman have that they are entitled to a 60K deer petting job if they get their bachelors is a short route to cannonballing through bong smoke into a 150 thousand acre underground pool with the cover on it.

All I did was relocate for temp jobs to build my resume. Thats part of it all and the coolest thing about the field. Had free housing at one pt on the hamptons during the summer. Traveled every nook and cranny of the adirondacks with free rent. Other awesome opportunities while make dittily in cash, but thats the draw.

I could be very wrong about this. Lets also keep in mind that AT might have the most disrespect for environmental regulations around. surley the most ive seen demonstrated verbally. Maybe im just a victim of AT trolling, but the edge he could provide in editing seems enormously counterproductive.

Ah, but you don't know me.

No problem, MT. It was a piece of cake, and I hope it helps.
