Your best work

I do my best work on Mondays. I dont drink much. Fridays Im tired from working all week.
My worst work is done under duress. Forced work...

Where am I going with this?

Illinois is under pressure to make a law and there is a deadline. They are being forced by the federal govt. to make a CCP LAW so I can carry a gun. Saying that Illinois will have the most effed up CCP law possible.
Wait n see in a little over 30 days. It will be newsworthy but I bet we wont hear a peep about it.

I'm the opposite. I do my best work under a drastic time crunch. I'm not sure what the "law" is, but it's something along the lines of "any work will expand to fill the amount of time allotted to it". So I allot very little time.

My point is that Illinois is making a law cuz its against the law not to...
I expect the bill to be tossed together with a bunch of pork, ran through, and passed with the attitude that , "we will fix it later". Then they'll take 100 years to fix it like when the founding fathers got stuck on the issue of slavery.
Govt. moves super fast when it needs to for the banks but....the rest can wait.

I don't think they'll ever intend to "fix" it. I'd bet the attitude is "we have to have a law about this? Fine. They didn't say it had to make any sense, and if anyone doesn't like it, it'll be tied up in court for years. We'll just do what we want."

Am a bit concerned that my legal firearms will become illegal and also become an even bigger crime to take them across state lines. Then what? Bend over and let mr doggie style show his excellence?

The way it appears to be working here is that weapons which are "OK" before Oct, 2013, will be fine. Grandfathered in, so to speak. But if you take them out of state, say to PA or VA on a hunt, you will be breaking the law if you bring them back into MD. Some claim that that was an oversight, and is not what was intended, but I think it was exactly what was intended.

Thats why I may stash my guns in the state I hunt in. Weird but penalties on interstate anything are always insanely high.
Would hate to lose guns and everything on a technicality like that.

They wouldn't. I'm just assuming that on that off chance that you get pulled over just across the border or something, you better make damn sure that thing's hidden well.
