Injured owl

Went to this environmental film festival and they had some exhibits before the show. They had this owl that had been hit by a car there. He had a bad wing and lost one eye when this happened several years ago. Pretty neat to see him that close. The lady holding it said they are really small birds with a lot of feathers, she pushed here finger through the feathers on its head and went in several inches. They have a lot of fluffy feathers. She had to keep spraying water on the bird to keep it from overheating. She said they like it subzero.

I can't remember, I had a couple beers and was looking at some hot hippie chicks in the room. I do remember she said their only predator was a hawk (and cars). Are there any owl experts on here that may know? She fed the guy something like five mice a day.

Wonder what would have happened if that owl say a mouse or snake? He had been eating mice given to him for several years so I don't know what he would do. He was very calm in a loud place. The lady had him on a tether so the worst he would have done is tore her arm up

No you don't. She wasn't a wookie, but probably down below was. The beautiful one's were wearing low cut jeans and dancing by themselves during the halftime folkmusic. I missed the 60's but imagined what it must have been like.

Great grey owl. Pretty sure they are the largest in north america and maybe the world. Spend most of their time in Canadaland but in winter will come as far south as Iowa.

Owls are so boss.

Here's what's living in my backyard. About five years ago a little screech owl took up residence there and the catbirds and Jays were pestering her. I built two nest boxes right away and they took to them almost immediately. Every spring we get a hatch of two or three young out of each box.

This is the closest I've ever been to a owl. Saw it on a hike I took while in Florida a few months ago.

Called one in today just before sunrise. Landed in the tree 5 foot above my head, scared the shit outa me. Flew away before I could get a picture though.
