I was standing in line at Cabala's waiting to check out. The guy at the register had a flashlight and something else. He handed the girl some cash and she asked for his 10 digit phone number (I'm guessing they wanted it to know where their costumer base was coming from since the store just opened). The guy flipped shit on the girl and she said he doesn't have to give his phone number. He proceeded to rip her a new one the ended by taking his money back and walking out the door.

What the fuck is wrong with Cabela's for needing to know his phone number?

Same here. Phone number? Zip code? No problem. Hell, I even give a fake name when arriving at a restaurant with a wait time. And I only ever give them a first name. Keeps my wife on her toes when I say "Glenn" or some such nonsense.

Like I said, I think it's to know where their costumers are coming from. I don't disagree with the guy for not wanting to give his phone number. But he didn't need to be a huge douche to someone that has no control over it.
